ONCE presents the ‘Ecologízate’ coupon to support organic farming and a sustainable economy

The National Organization of the Spanish Blind (ONCE), in collaboration with the Ecological Agriculture Committee of the Valencian Community (CAECV), have presented this morning the coupon corresponding to the ‘Being sustainable’ series, which will be raffled next Saturday, 26 March, and which aims to support organic farming and sustainable economy.

The territorial delegate of ONCE in the Valencian Community, José Manuel Pichel, accompanied by the president of the ONCE in the Valencian Community, Enrique Llin and the president of CAECV, Vicente Faro, presented the coupon to give visibility to all the work behind the ecological sector, highlighting the more than 4,000 operators that the Valencian Community has certificates. “With this initiative we want to recognize the work that farmers do every day to put on our tables food of the highest quality, healthy, that protects biodiversity and is a fundamental tool against climate change, explained the president of the CAECV , Vicente Lighthouse.

The ‘Be sustainable’ collection, which began last January, corresponds to the Saturday draws and its objective is to spread and highlight the commitment to a sustainable economy, a concept that is closely aligned with organic production.

5.5 millions coupons for all Spain

In total, 5.5 million coupons with the campaign ‘Ecologízate. It’s good, and it’s better’, they will be distributed throughout the national territory next Saturday, the anniversary of World Climate Day.

With this initiative, the president of the certifying entity stated, “we also want to encourage the consumption of organic products and collaborate with an entity such as ONCE to meet its objectives: carry out social and solidarity work allocating all the income from the sale of this coupon to improve the quality of life of blind people and/or people with other disabilities”.
