The CAECV donates two tons of organic products to the Food Banks of the Valencian Community

The Committee of Ecological Agriculture of the Valencian Community (CAECV), the entity in charge of controlling, certifying, representing, defending, investigating and promoting the ecological products of the Valencian Community, has donated two tons of ecological agri-food products to the Food Banks of Alicante, Valencia and Castelló.

With this initiative, CAECV has wanted to help those especially vulnerable social groups that need the effort and collaboration of all levels of society. “Faced with the situation we are going through due to COVID-19, the Plenary of the entity has decided to allocate the designated budget item to celebrate the Christmas lunch with its workers, in addition to making an additional contribution, to collaborate with the Food Banks of the Valencian Community, adding to the large number of solidarity initiatives that have been taking place during all these months ”, said the president of CAECV, José Antonio Rico.

Staple food for the three provinces

The three deliveries that have been made during these days to the Food Banks of Alicante, València and Castelló, have also wanted that the soup kitchens and other social groups where the NGO arrives, have their basic needs covered with basic food.

Fruits, vegetables, eggs, rice, nougat, honey or oil, among others, have been the main ingredients of the donation made by the certifying entity. All products are organic and have been produced and made by farmers and companies certified by the CAECV.
